We as a club have been playing cricket for over 30 years and all credit must go to Dave Sandham and Paul Rendell and other past players who have both kept us with a full list of fixtures and 11 players every week. Their tireless work has seen a regular August bank holiday fixture against Ebernoe grow into a very exciting four match tour, fit for any cricketing side throughout the uk.

This season has been something rather different starting the season with 5 regular players unobtainable it proved an impossible task for myself to fulfill our allotted fixtures for the season. Only Cadnam and Swan Green survived from the normal fixtures and of course for those of you who went we did manage to complete the tour which we all thoroughly enjoyed albeit with the help of Ebernoe and Singleton players. I feel somewhat responsible for this seasons failures but in allot of cases players not bothering to answer my calls did not help.

On the week leading up to the tour I heard of two players who said they were Touring, had told others they were not going but had not informed me, then tried to put the blame onto myself. I was on the verge of canceling three games of the tour as we simply had not enough players to get though it. After some phone calls it was decided that we would still go and just try and get through it.

Some of us arrived in Sussex on the Sunday and the rest came up on Monday all that we worried about now was the great British Summer or the lack of it. But luck was on our side as we played all four matches without any rain (no sun) and we even had some sun but this was five minutes after the last match at Midhurst.

Thanks to Andy, Lewis, and Dawn oh and Bailey who came down Monday for a day out as did Rendy Lawrence and Harry. Thanks to Martin, Matt, Dave, Richard, Chris and Binky from Ebernoe who helped us out on more than one occasion as did Chris from Singleton. Thanks also to Paul who came up Monday to watch went back to Bournemouth and returned Tuesday to play. Thanks to Kyle who came up for the last match and to Frankie's disgust took two wickets after toiling himself all tour without any luck. Big thanks to Ted, Carol, Lou, Alan, Mia, Nadine and Bev who supported us at every match. Finally a big thanks to Ivan and Margeret who put us up all week and treated us like family.

Finally a meeting will be held sometime in October @ Kinson Manor to discuss next season WATCH THIS SPACE.
